ONTD Original: Are musician Jesse DeSimone and GoT actor Alex Vilar dating?? ONTD investigates!

Let me preface this by saying this post is brought to you by me having way too much time on my hands.

For those of you who don't know, Jesse DeSimone is a musician who is best known for his song 'Retrograde', which was internalized by every moody teenage girl the world over when it was released in 2013 as a OMG THIS SONG IS TOTALLY ABOUT ME! jam. He was recently nominated for a Grammy but will inevitably lose to Twisted Nation. Just like Milo Rothstein, he looks better than he sounds.

Alex Vilar is an actor who has recently been bumped to theatre parts now that Game of Thrones is off the air. After speculation in the comments of this post gained traction on twitter, I decided to do some investigating to find out if we've been sleeping on this rumoured relationship. Let me take you through the timeline:

18th January 2019: Jesse DeSimone releases 'Assume Form', an entire record that's basically a tribute to his longterm girlfriend. They break up not long after its release, which is confirmed in an interview with Guardian some months later. Fuck them both for thinking they could both be happy tbh!

24th September 2019: Alex Vilar is in the audience during JD's performance at the Grammy Museum. According to social media, this isn't the first time the actor has been spotted at one of his shows. I know what you're thinking. Maybe it's just friends supporting friends! Gingers like music too! LET'S GO DEEPER.

23rd October 2019: fans spot them in the audience at The Old Vic in London, taking in a performance of 'Lungs' starring Queen Claire Foy and mediocre Matt Smith. Prayer circle for Lily James. They allegedly drink from the same bottle of water. Not convinced? Stay with me!

20th November 2019: Alex Vilar takes a photo at a pub in Brixton with a fan who seemingly has no idea who Jesse DeSimone is until she has a Colleen Rooney level brainwave on twitter.

9th December 2019: A fan spots them both arriving in Los Angeles where JD is scheduled to play the first of two shows. Whether they're being intentionally discreet or not, JD takes a photo with airport security while his other half is papped leaving the airport. Exhibits A and B.

10th December 2019: Alex Vilar appears on Mack's instagram story reading from a cocktail menu. Who knew these two were friends? JD is nowhere to be seen but both Alex Vilar and Mack are then spotted at his show in downtown Los Angeles where he is campaigning for said Grammy he will not win.
